DeskProto user Talley Boatwright shared the results of his first rotary project: a nice Buddha statue, CNC machined in pine wood.
As you can see he has a fast machine (the video is on true speed), with a Richauto controller. The two cutters are a 1/2″ rougher (3-flute) for roughing and a 1/16″ tapered ballnose (2-flute) for finishing. Note the nice helix toolpath that DeskProto created for the finishing operation. Total machining time was ca 2 hours. Thanks for sharing !
