I wanted to show how this was the most user friendly CNC machine. So I invited a good friend and woodworking hobbyist Wade Mclean to come and try using a CNC machine for the first time ever.
Wade recently called and asked if I would engrave a piece of his work because he doesn’t have a CNC machine, I took the opportunity to test just how user friendly the Onefinity CNC actually is, and to get some unbiased and honest feedback (Wade is a straight shooter).
I walked him through designing a toolpath using Carbide Create which is a free user friendly software, then took the Gcode file and put it on a USB storage device. I then breifed Wade on the basics of the machine ie. described the Y, X, and Z axis, how to zero the Y,X,Z axis, even how to place a bit in the router.
For this particular design we chose an engraving bit https://amzn.to/2yCS9nq. You know I had to give my favorite sander a cameo as well https://amzn.to/3duZCDZ.
After all that we discuss the good, and bad in a brief AAR (After Action Review) and we both decided that this is the top beginner CNC Machine with loads of creating potential.
