This video shows some of the possible jobs which can be done with this range of tools. Afterwards, it illustrates various ssemblies
in different uses: CNC lathe, CNC work centre, traditional slotting machine It also shows the symmetrical correction carried out using the eccentric bushing.
The correction method is essential for all lathes
without Y axis.
Then two processes are carried out on keyway seats. The second
case, where the keyway seat made requires two different phases, is indicated with very thick seats. As can be seen, the process is
divided into two phases. The first phase, called roughing, only removes a part of the material; the second phase, called finishing, removes the rest of the material when the desired measurement is reached. We recommend this work method for thicknesses beyond 18 mm.
In conclusion, various internal profiles can be seen: square, hexagonal, splined. To make these profiles, Rev srl supplies
customers with a program specifically made for CNC machines free of charge. The program is available for all CNC machines found on the market.
REV BROACHING TOOL
NEW BROACHING SYSTEM
SAVE TIME AND MONEY WHILE WORKING
LATHE MOUNTING
This short video shows the Rev Broaching Tool
Mounting on CNC lathe without y axis
(for machines that are equipped with y axis,
the eccentric bushing is not needed and therefore the tool is
mounted without it).
MECHANICAL SPECIFICATIONS OF TOOL
This tool is made of steel for manufacturing tools and then tempered.
The insert seating area is hardened to 58 HRC and then subjected to rectification.
These two operations guarantee considerable resistance to mechanical pressure and a perfect seating of the insert.
This ensures longer tool life.
The use of this tool is very convenient given how easy it is to mount and use, particularly regardless of whether there are small, medium or large batches to be produced.
MOUNTING TO THE MACHINING CENTER OR MILL
The tool is introduced into a spindle with WELDON connection (it can also be mounted with a standard collet).
For machines that do not have spindle orientation, simply enter the instruction in mdi mode to perform a perfect alignment (e.g. CNC FANUC M19 instruction).
This function will orient the spindle into the tool change position, locking it in this position.
Then, as seen in the video, you need to run a scan aligning the tool work axis, and then proceed to tighten the tool. Finally, remove the alignment plate and introduce the insert; at this point it is possible to start machining.
Thanks to the REV BROACHING TOOL, there is a considerable time saving in performing this type of machining, while respecting a perfect phasing with the piece that you are working on.
MOUNTING ON SWAGING MACHINE
This short video shows mounting the tool onto swaging or filing machines using the adapter. This adapter allows you to work in four positions at 90° to each other thanks to the specially designed joints.
In practical terms, the tools are extremely rigid, thereby guaranteeing an excellent degree of finishing of machining and increased durability of the insert.
ONLY SYSTEM IN THE WORLD THAT CORRECTS SYMMETRY ERRORS
In this video, we wanted to show how it is possible for CNC lathes without a y-axis to perform the inevitable symmetry correction of broaching. REV S.r.l. Would like to point out that this registration system is protected by a patent and is currently the only system in the world that allows CNC lathes to effectively and accurately perform any machining possible with this type of tool.
The eccentric bushing has a graduated scale engraved on the front and each notch corresponds to a precision value of 0.03mm. The displacement field is +0.5-0.5mm which is more than sufficient for any error correction generally experienced with CNC lathes.
In the presence of symmetrical errors, it is necessary to loosen the two fixing bolts of the machine tool holder, thus releasing the tool. Then loosen the wing bolt which is located on the eccentric bush collar. At this point, the rotation of the bushing in the desired direction should be performed, correcting and removing any error of symmetry.
INTERNAL COOLANT SUPPLY
This short video shows the machining of a simple internal key highlighting the importance of the internal coolant supply.
The holes of diameter 3.50 for the coolant passage are located in an area of the tool that, not only cools the tool during the cutting, but also has the function of extracting shavings from the hole.
This action is of utmost importance in blind holes where the accumulation of shavings inside the hole could cause breakage of the tool.
