This project was done with a 1/16″ down cut endmill
It’s that extra detail that makes a woodworking project come alive! Design software such as vcarve, easel and others will all have similar features to easily add those little details.
In this example, we use the ‘node’ function to twist vectors into the shapes we want.
With a vector highlighted, hit the “N” key (in V-carve) and that will bring up the nodes on the vector. If no node is at the location you want, hover on that point and press the letter “I”. That will insert a node.
While hovering over the node, press the letter “S”. This is the smooth feature that will allow you to twist the line.
If the node does not add adjusting tabs, delete the black nodes around it.
This little trick is a nice tip for making people say “look at that detail!”
Your software and cnc router will do the rest.
HAPPY DETAILING!
