Continuous 5-axis CNC milling machining, horizontal boring mill, 15,000 rpm
FERMAT’s new electric-spindle, right-angle automatic milling head (E-PHAmi) combined with FERMAT’s WFT 13 CNC is the perfect solution for customers looking for a powerful table-type horizontal boring mill with a strong output and continuous 5-axis milling and machining.
It can machine large workpieces of iron and steel weighing up to 15 metric tons on its special rotary table and execute perfect 5-axis milling and machining synchronized along the linear X, Y, Z axes and rotary B and A axes. FERMAT’s electrospindle right-angle milling head can be positioned on the A axis and rotate ±95°.
The accuracy of the milling head indexing is 0.001°. It utilizes Siemens Sinumerik Operate 4.8 control system and a Weiss independently powered electric spindle with a max of 15,000 rpm for machining soft metals, like aluminum (used in the aircraft industry), and 8,000 rpm for machining steel.
