How To Build a CNC Plasma Cutting Table | Part 6 – The 1st Cut

Welcome to part 6, the final video, in the series documenting the build of our CNC plasma cutting table. In this video I’ll show you the completed table set up, including the torch mount, the ohmic sensor, the CNC port connection between the plasma cutter and the plasma interface unit, the air compressor and moisture filter.
You will also see the 1st cut of a piece of metal on the table…and the excitement that moment brought.

The final things to set up are the water table, to trap the fumes and sparks from the cutting process, as well as upgrading the electrical enclosure to a larger cabinet.
I’ll then fabricate a console on wheels, with the enclosure mounted at the rear and a bench top for my laptop and possibly a monitor, too.
This will allow me to position myself close to the torch, in order to correctly align it on the work piece prior to cutting it.
