As someone that has almost explicitly used YouTube for learning how to navigate the CAD/CAM features of Fusion 360, in order to program CNC equipment and make parts, I figured I ought to at least attempt to pay forward the wealth of knowledge I’ve acquired, with the hopes of helping anyone else that falls down the rabbit hole of the manufacturing world. It is thanks to the internet and various YT channels that I’ve found myself in the machining industry. However, AFTER investing in a CNC milling machine of my own last year, I discovered a drastic lack of resources available online for helping me through the confusing process of operating the particular control on my mill (a ‘GSK 980MDa1’). As an import system (essentially a knockoff of a previous Fanuc offering, but not identical) and with the machine being purchased on the used market, customer service (in the US) as basically non-existent. Not to mention, that being one of the (significantly) less popular control options here in the states, I initially felt very much on my own, clueless, and was beginning to doubt my decision to buy the machine. Having no other choice but to push forward and figure out how to make this thing run, I vowed to one day make some content on the subject, the kind of stuff that I either spent hours upon hours searching for online or had hoped to find but couldn’t. With that being said, I guess we can consider this as the first video of a potential series on making the most of a GSK control.
Being that this video is so long, I will eventually go through and add timestamps here in the description.
For anyone trying to get acquainted with a GSK controlled (milling) machine, feel free to contact me at:

with any questions and I’ll do my best to try and help or point in the right direction at least. I can also give recommendations for the online sources that I’ve learned from.
Although I am currently still a small operation, for anyone interested in getting a quote on potential parts/services, you can also email me at:
