What is the different between 3-axis,4-axis,5-axis machining centers？
First of all,the 3-axis machining center is the most widely used at present.It includeus the X,Y,Z axis,also knowns as the 3-axis linkage maching center.The 3-axis machining center can perform simple plane machining and process only one side at a time.
The 4-axis maching center has one more rataing axis than the 3-axis.If the axis rotates around the X axis,it is called the A axis.If it rotates around the Y axis,it is called the B axis. Through the rotation,the product can realize multi faceted processing,which greatly improves the processing efficiency and readuces the number of armor,especially the processing of cylindrical parts.
The 5-axis machining center adds two ratating shafts on the basis of the 3-axis,which can process any surface of the three-dimensional under a fixed condition.In other words,in addintition to vertical bottom thress-dimensional processing,side,and oblique side processing can also be carrried out. The 5-axis machining center is a kind of maching center with high technological content and high precision,which is speciall used for machining complex curved surface.It is good at space curved surface machining,special shaped machining,hollow machining,punching,oblique hole bevel cutting,etc.
